THE ROMAN ROOM
THE ROMAN ROOM
A double room in the theme of roman decor. This room is not ensuite but has a shower room, sink and toilet on the landing for the exclusive use of this room. From the sumptious bed linen to the ornate bed side lamps and down to the ornamental bookends in your window sill you may get the overwhelming desire to wrap a sheet around yourself adourned with a branch of bay laurel around your brow and descend for a goblet of ale with breakfast!
But if you do not drift off into another world as i often do when i am cleaning this beautiful room then you can enjoy Dorchester and all it has to offer from this comfortable non en suite room. It has a mirror for the vain amongst you and ample fresh white cotten towels including hand towels , bath towels and a flannel.
As i am blessed with owning the towns Best Speciality Food shop ( THE FRIDGE ) a delicatessen specialising in local produce i tend to use the guests as guinea pigs and adourn the rooms with nibbles on arrival from hand fried local crisps to local made fudge. But for the less adventurous amongst you you will have the traditional Tea , coffee and hot chocolate on your tray with some complimentary Dorset biscuits to dunk! oh and a teaspoon for when the bit your dunking snaps off and is floating helplessly in your beverage!
As the summer sunshine cascades through the Roman room window you turn the Colour TV off in your room and think how much longer is she going to be in that shower?? Well maybe one day i will write a book but for now i will stick to the information you need. The bathroom for this room is situated on the landing outside the room and has every thing you would need to make yourself beautiful with the exception of a bath ( or a plastic surgeon )

THE GARDEN ROOM
A double ensuite room with a delightful view from the back of the property of the church spire which is elegantly lit up at nighti. Like the name of this room suggests it is quite floral in decor but i feel it is the nicest room we have to offer. I often plop myself down in the armchair and listen to the faint hourly chimes of the church thinking i must get on and hoover!
Again with ample storage this room is a good size for those planning a longer stay and as with all rooms ample fresh white cotten towels are available in all sizes with a selection of complimentary toileteries.
Tea , coffee and hot chocolate is supplied compliments of Cornflowers as are a selection of savoury and sweet nibbles ( all produced in Dorset ), which are also supplied to all guests complimentary.
This is the most comfortable of beds you will sleep on and with a copy of "DORSET" the local glossy magazine for your viewing pleasure in each room it wont be long before you are drifting off and having sweet dreams!
With its own en suite containing a shower sink and toilet you could remain in your room un interupted for your entire stay. But we would highly recommend that you do get out and enjoy a bit of hardy country!!
FINALLY I COULD NOT LET YOU MOVE ON FROM THE GARDEN ROOM WITHOUT LETTING YOU PEEP OUT THE WINDOW!! A VIEW TO INSPIRE ANYONE!!

THE SAFARI ROOM
The largest of our rooms without a doubt this large double ensuite room with a delightful view from the back of the property of the church spire which is elegantly lit up at night. It also offers a view to the front of the property which illustrates its size.
Ample wardrobe space and extra storage as well as two bamboo chairs and table still do not crown this large double with colour TV as standard.
completed by the ensuite with shower , sink and WC, with complimentary toileteries provided within.

THE SHELLEY ROOM
A considerably smaller room than all our others housing a single bed as well as complimentary tea , coffee etc like all our rooms. This room has little extra storage space and shares the bathroom facilities on the landing with the Roman room.

THE ABOVE RATES INCREASE BY £10 PER ROOM PER NIGHT IN THE HEIGHT OF THE SUMMER SEASON ( JULY 1ST TO SEPT 16TH )
During the Summer season we regret that there is a supplement of £10 per room on any Saturday night only bookings. ( Many hotels and guest houses in Dorchester will only take a 2 night booking at weekends but we will take a Saturday only booking but do apply this £10 additional charge )
NO BOOKINGS ARE TAKEN FOR CHRISTMAS DAY OR BOXING DAY!!
We are proud to say that we have never had a disappointed guest at Cornflowers and many repeat visits. We hope you enjoy browsing this website but know that it is much better to see Cornflowers for real in the flesh! The pictures do not do it justice.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If a reservation is cancelled at least 7 days ahead of the booking then a full refund will be payable , and therefore any deposit taken will be refunded.
If the booking is cancelled with in 7 days but up to 24 hours before 2pm on the date of the booking then a £25 administration fee per room booked is payable. Any surplus deposit after these charges have been applied would be refunded.
Sadly if any reservation is cancelled after 2pm on the day before any booking then the cost of the room/rooms will be payable in full for the first nights accommodation. In the case of bookings longer than 1 night any further nights will be refunded.
We are human though and will do everything in our power to try and assist keep any costs to a minimum when unforeseen circumstances occur.
